Photocopy your main passport page and visas, and keep them separate from your original documents.
Email yourself your passport copy, visas, and other travel documents or keep them in cloud storage for easy access anywhere.
Always advise your bank when leaving the country with dates and destinations so they can recognize fraudulent card use.
Save them to check your miles have been accrued on your frequent flyer membership account.
Take some cash in small denominations of the country you're visiting for tipping, taxis, or similar needs.
Always pack extra underwear and your toothbrush in your hand luggage in case your checked luggage goes missing.
Put your room number and hotel address on your phone so if you get lost, it's easier to get help finding your way back.
Check your destination's weather before packing so you don't take unnecessary items. Try yr.no for forecasts.
Each airline has different baggage allowances. Check the details before packing to avoid surprises.
Overweight luggage is costly. Weigh your bags before leaving home. Pre-purchasing extra weight online is usually cheaper than paying at check-in.
